Read page 226. Stress the importance of LCD
HW: p. 227, #s 1-23 odd, 24-31 all
Tuesday 03/17
Section 7-4 Add Mixed Numbers
Read page 228. LCD and simplest form are important here
HW: p. 229, #s 4-26 even, 28 &29

Section 7-5 Subtract Fractions
Read page 230
HW: p. 230-231, #s 1-13 even, 15-29 all

Section 7-6 Subtract Mixed Numbers
Read page 232.
HW: p. 233, #s 1-13
Read blue box regarding whole number subtraction, paying attention to borrowing and regrouping when necessary.
HW: p. 233, #s 14-25

I’ll be attaching a quiz for them to take. Please administer as such. This will be turned in when we return to school. Encourage them to check their work by reversing the operation whenever possible.

Tests - 35% Quizzes - 30% Classwork 25% Projects 10%
Homework - completed/not completed
Tests will be administered to assess mastery of learned subject matter.
They typically take place at the end of a chapter. Sufficient notice
will be given to write dates in assignment pads. Tests are graded and reviewed the next class period in most cases.
Quizzes will be administered frequently and are usually announced. Students will often have 2-3 quizzes per chapter.
Classwork will be assigned often. Students are encouraged to complete their work in class. Any unfinished work is expected to be completed at home that day. please refer to the following rubric for classwork and homework:
*must be completed sequentially in notebook in pencil
* must be appropriately labeled with date, page #, and problem #
*must include the complete problem as it appears in the text
*will be corrected the next class and scored in pen
*all work must be clearly shown for full credit
*late work loses 5 points per day late
*grades begin at 100%
